This modification guide will show you how to make your Panasonic DVD player or Blu-ray player region-free (also known as a multi-region unlock mod or a region 0 hack) for the playback of DVD discs. This means that you can play DVD discs that are locked to any region (regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6) on your player. This does not unlock the region for Blu-ray disc playback, however. If you need zone-free Blu-ray playback (zones A, B anc C) see our separate Blu-ray unlock page here.

*Unconfirmed at present but likely to work. These players are internally very similar to players that are known to be unlockable. Let us know in the comments section below if the remote works for your player.
Panasonic Region-Free Method
The method for unlocking your Panasonic DVD or Blu-ray player is to send the correct sequence of infrared remote control signal codes from a specially made or adapted infrared transmitter to your player. The codes cannot be sent from the standard Panasonic remote control that came with your player, nor can they reliably be sent from a ‘universal’ One-for-All remote control. They can only be sent using the custom hardware outlined below. Please note that as an eBay Partner we may receive a small commission if you make a purchase. This does not change the price you pay.
Hardware
To send the region-free unlocking codes to your Panasonic DVD or Blu-ray player you need to buy a ready-made custom remote transmitter, available from eBay here.
Ready-Made Custom Remote
This ready-made custom transmitter available through eBay here sends the correct sequence of infrared codes to your Panasonic player, which will switch it into multi-region mode for the playback of DVD discs. We are not related to the vendor so please refer any questions about the ready-made device to the vendor. Treat yourself to some films or box-sets while you’re looking too!
and there is no remote software hack???
The soft hack is to send the correct infrared control codes to the DVD player to make it region-free. The Panasonic remote control that came with your DVD player does not have all the buttons required, so the codes can only be sent from a custom transmitter.
G’day from Australia , Hope your Keeping Yourself Safe Just Bought one of those remote for my Panasonic DMP-BD84 as i looked onto there page from Graham (traumax) cost for me to have it in Australia was $42.91 from England, lets hope it works!
Also In Australia…so did it work OK?
Would this infra red device work for model DMP-BD84 and cost please for NEW ZEALAND. Thank you
Did it work?
Ive tried the remote on the Panasonic BD84 and can confirm it works great for multiregion DVD (not all region blu ray). Ive tried on other panasonic players I had too with equal success. Highly recommended.
I have bought the special remote but there are no instructions. How do I use it to reset my Panasonic blue ray player to region free
The custom remote comes with an instruction sheet. If it’s missing then contact the seller or read the instructions in the eBay description.
I have panasonic dp-ub450 how to do free region ?
Yes the custom remote will work on the Panasonic DP-UB450 UHD Blu-ray player, along with the similar DP-UB150, DP-UB154 and DP-UB159 models.
did it work?
This worked on my BDT180 DMP for Blu-rays:
All you need to do is load up the blu-ray disc. When the message pops up that says the disc will only play in a Region B or C player pops up, press “stop” on the remote control. Then press “1” on the remote, followed by “enter.” This will bypass the message and load up the disc to play normally.
I did the same but I had to do it twice. When it says region B error I entered “stop” “1” “enter”. Then it gave me an error so I did it again and it worked!
On my DP-UB824 remote dont have Enter, but OK key. I tried STOP 1 OK many times but it doesnt work.
The STOP-1-ENTER workaround is for some Blu-ray discs, not DVDs. To play DVDs from other regions you need to buy the custom remote through the Ebay link to unlock your DP-UB824 for region-free DVD playback.
Followed the above but had to repeat after getting an error. Works great 2nd time – each time.
i discovered some locked panasonic blu ray players can be overridden by pressing play, when the region warning comes up press stop , wait for the panasonic display to reappear, then press top menu…this frees locked blu rays . It works mainly for Criterion , but not all, i have 50 criterion blu rays, 5 disks dont work, the rest do..Kino Lorber and scream factory you cant , severin you can
Just got Region A Criterion disc of TRAFFIC to work on a Region B player thanks to your comment! Good Man! 👍 👏😊💯
On my DP-UB824 it doesnt work. Top menu key order can’t access the DVD Zone 1.
The STOP-1-ENTER workaround is for some Blu-ray discs, not DVDs. To play DVDs from other regions you need to buy the custom remote through the Ebay link to unlock your DP-UB824 for region-free DVD playback.
Hi, i have a Panasonic DMP-BDT384EG and i would like to dezone. Where i can find the code for that ?
Hi Ivan, You can ignore the EF or EG letters on the end of your model number. The custom remote works for the Panasonic DMP-BDT380 and the DMP-BDT385 so I suspect that it will work for your DMP-BDT384. Contact the seller through eBay to check before ordering to be sure. The BDT380, BDT381, BDT383, BDT384 and BDT385 players are all in the same model-group.
I have a DMP-BD73 can this be unlocked?
The Panasonic DMP-BD73 is in the same model group as the DMP-BD83, DMP-BD165 and DMP-BD166 so the chances are very high that your BD73 can be made region-free (unlocked) using the custom remote.
Hi Admin if your still about to answer a question I much appreciate your help.
I have a DMR EX 97 HDD
I can’t find an external hard drive that will register with the recorder so I can free space on HDD on external HD
Also even if you manage to do this Panasonic prevent you from using External HD on any other device apart from DMR EX 97
Is their a hack for this or something I can do so I can transfer movies I’ve recorded off tv to the HDD then to External HD to play on my laptop???
Please Help!
David
Hi David, can you record films/programmes from the internal HDD onto recordable DVDs? They can then be ripped from those DVDs using a computer. The only Freeview recorders I’ve heard of that allow you to copy off the internal hard drive are some Humax models, and even then it’s only standard def recordings and using custom software. Some cheap Freeview receivers let you record to USB which probably won’t be encrypted, e.g. these August Freeview boxes on eBay.
It might work out cheaper for you to order used DVD copies of the films you want to keep through eBay!
Hi!
For Pana DMP-BDT380 (Thailand), is there any region free way? Hard tools or unlock by remote control?
Thanks for your advise.
Regards,
The DMP-BDT380 is in the list of supported players so the custom remote might work on your Thai player. What is the current region code on your player?
Hi, thanks for your prompt reply.
My player is 3, I guess.
Actually last month, I can see all region still, but after updated of firmware automatically on this month, could not watch. Can see only 3 region.
The multi-region hack remote is worked or not?
You’ll need to contact the seller through eBay about Region 3 players. How did you make your player region-free initially?
Thanks again.
I could not contact to the seller, I don’t know why.
Then now I have to find more info or detail to do region free with Thai model.
Once you have any info or something with Region 3 one, hope you to share again here…
Hello I want one of these hack remote but the seller does not sell to canada can some please sell me one?
Hey there, I have a pic programmer, a variety of pic chips, atinys and every arduino out there along with a pile of IR LEDs and resistors. Any chance you could mail me the code and I could fill in the blanks 🙂
Hi Nathan, we don’t have the source code so you’ll need to contact the eBay seller for that.
I have just purchased the Panasonic UHD UB9000 player and would like to open zone the DVD regions and the 3 Blu-ray regions. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks
The Panasonic DP-UB9000 can be unlocked with the custom remote for DVD multi-region use. For Blu-ray region unlocking you will likely need a permanently installed hardware modification.
DO you have a hardware modification board for the Panasonic UB9000 for switching between the 3 Blu-ray regions. If not do you know who has one?
For Blu-ray regions you can try contacting TPS and ask if they can either do it for you or supply a kit. It might work out cheaper to buy one of their pre-modded players and sell your current one.
We have checked with TPS and they said dont have have it hence they can not supply the player with such option.
Is it possible to do bd unlocking modification by ourself ?
Hi!
i need to unlock a DVD region from a Panasonic UB9000, do you have this solution?
Yes the Panasonic DP-UB9000 Blu-ray player is in the list of unlockable players.
will this work with a panasonic dvd s500?
I’m not sure about the DVD-S500 and the related DVD-S700 model, you’ll need to contact the eBay vendor about these.
For those people in New Zealand. Panasonic New Zealand will multizone your player for free! (DVD only). You must have your proof of purchase and your local Panasonic technician can do it.
I had it done but it not play region 2
It sounds like the unlocking did not work. Take the player back and take a region 2 DVD with you to test in the service centre.
Hi sir, I am Jack from INDIA, I need ur valuable help that is am facing problem while insert disc in Panasonic DMP BDT 310 player it was showing on display that is, this disc cannot be played in your region, please help me
Hi Jack, assuming that the disc is a DVD rather than a Blu-ray disc you need to make your player region free. You can use the remote control sold via the eBay link above to do this.
Worked first time for my Panasonic DMP-BDT 280. Impressive.
How do you unlock the Panasonic DMP-BDT280EB player please Nick?.
The custom remote will unlock your DMP-BDT280 to make it multi-region for DVD playback.
Hello there.I have a Panasonic Bluray player DMR-BWT760. Is there any way I can convert it to all region player using the custom remote or is it hopeless and I should just throw it away and by an all region player.BTW,I’m in Australia where region blocking rules are confusing and ridiculous.
Hi Bill, the Panasonic DMR-BWT760 is on the list of Blu-ray players above so you can make it multi-region for DVD playback using the custom remote.
Just used this little gadget on my Panasonic DVD Player. I’ve never had such a simple solution to a tech problem in my life! Thanks very much.
John
I have a rather old but perfect Panasonic DVD home theatre SC-PT170 which has always worked perfectly until I recent installed a new tv with it and it suddenly came jus “LOCKED” on its screen and I cannot unlock it. Can you help?
It sounds like some kind of child-lock feature or shop-demo mode has been enabled on the DVD player.
Try one of the following and let us know which one works. It might be the one that was most likely to happen by accident to lock it in the first place:
– With the unit on, hold down the Eject and Play buttons on the DVD player for 5 seconds
– With the unit on, hold down the Stop and Power buttons on the DVD player for 5 seconds
– With the unit on, hold down the Stop button on the machine then press and release the Power button
– With the unit on, hold down the Play button on the machine then press and release the Power button
– With the unit in standby hold down the Stop button on the machine for 10 seconds
– Press and hold OK and RETURN on the remote control for 5 seconds
Failing that, a factory reset of the SC-PT170 / SC-PT175 system might work:
While stopped and “DVD/CD” is the source, press and hold [Stop] on the main unit and [>10] on the remote control until “INITIALIZED” appears/disappears from the TV. Turn the unit off and on again. All settings will return to the default values.
Do you know of anyone selling the custom remote in the US?
It’s more the situation that Region 1 (North American) players can’t be reliably unlocked using this method.
Hi Admin,
how are you? I have a Panasonic DP-UB824EGK. It is not in the list, but maybe similar as UB820?
what do you think? By the way, does it work only on DVD or also BR?
Hi MB, The DP-UB824 (European version) looks very similar to the DP-UB820 (North American version) so the custom remote might unlock it. Best to contact the seller through the eBay link. The custom remote only unlocks DVD region, not Blu-ray.
Does anyone know if the codes can be sent via an android ‘phone which has the IR Blaster port?
There are various aps such as Peel Smart Remote, so if the codes exist, such an ap could presumably do the region unlock.
Ideally, rather than convert the player to Region 0, you could convert it to a different region when necessary. This can be more reliable for DVDs which don’t run on Region 0. My old Pioneer DVD player has this kind of region mod which allows for setting the region as often as required.
Hi There I recently purchased the Panasonic UB9000. is this remote compatible with this Panasonic heavy weight?
Yes the DP-UB9000 is in the list so the remote should unlock your player.
Do I understand that this unlocking devise (to change Regions) will not be sold to Canada. Why I wonder?
Some North American players (region 1) can’t be unlocked for some reason.
The ebay seller doesn’t ship to New Zealand. Is there a way to purchase one of these remotes? My last DVD player was unlocked but the current one isn’t and have some DVDs it would be nice to be able to rewatch. Thanks.
If you message the seller they might be able to send it for you, especially if they send it without the batteries. They might also be able to suggest a parcel forwarding service you could use.
Can I use my remote to make my Panasonic DMP-BD75 region free?
You can make your Panasonic DMP-BD75 Blu-ray player region-free by using the custom remote available in the eBay listing. You can’t use the remote that came with the player as it can’t send out the correct maintenance signals.
Hi my DVD player reads SET1 and the remote control won’t respond what should one do please dvd is Panasonic BDT 370
This isn’t related to making your player multi-region. However, if you hold down the OK button and the 1 button on the remote for 10 seconds it should return to normal operation.
What a pain !! We purchased our DVD player under the understanding it was multi zone.
Now we find out we have to spend extra $$ and purchase another remote to unlock it.
We are currently in lockdown- can not purchase a remote & can not watch half the DVD’s we own.
As far as I am concerned I have been sold a device under false information 😥
Maria are you in New Zealand? You should be able to return your player if it was advertised as region-free and turns out not to be. Otherwise this remote will work on your Region 4 players from the list above.
How can i make my panasonic DMP-BD84 region free? i’m in Aus so its R 4 only. I have used a remote hack before did try it but old batteries still in it so i think its naffed, thanks Stephen
The Panasonic Blu-Ray players use a slightly updated code sequence so your old hack remote might not unlock your player if you can get it working (clean up the battery contacts if they’re corroded). The latest version of these unlocking remotes should work on your player to make it multi-region.
hey there Stephen, ive got a Panasonic DMP-BD84 to i just ordered a Panasonic DVD / Blu-ray Player Multi-Region Hack remote that ionic was talking about it will make your Blu-ray DVD player Region Free , That what it says on the Ebay Page We have the Same DVD player so it will cost About $42.91 Aussie Dollars, you can get it from a Graham ( Traumax) , on Bank account or PayPal, waiting For Remote , I’ve Been told Elsewhere they work, but i have been hunting it down until i found this page, i bought alot of DVD’s From the Amazon with Region 1. so once the Remote comes hopefully it fixes the Problem and i can Watch all these DVD’s . Good Luck
In New Zealand I got my local service guy to multizone my Panasonic DVD player. Panasonic were paying them to do it so that the customer would incur no cost. Not sure if they are still doing it. Check with your local Panasonic service company. (They need a receipt before they will do it)
Is there a hack for the Panasonic BDT270 Blu Ray available yet or can it only be done with the Multi Region Hack Remote?
The hack for the DMP-BDT270 is to use the multi-region remote to unlock the region on this player.
I purchased the Panasonic 3D Home Theater System BTT-785GNK a few years ago now and, as a lot of DVDs and Blu Rays I own are from Europe, someone had to come out and unlock the player in order for these foreign discs to play and, ever since, I have had no problems whatsoever with the player. Now, however, the player indicates “incompatible disc” with every Blu Ray disc I try to play. Any way I can remedy this? Like I said, I have had no issues with this player whatsoever since I bought it.
If all Blu-ray discs give the ‘incompatible disc’ error it sounds like a hardware failure in the player e.g. the laser. Perhaps the lens just needs cleaning?
Also try disconnecting the player from your home network if it is connected. If you have recently updated the firmware it might need a power off/on or a factory reset. Another option is that it might be wanting an SD card/USB drive plugging in to the front for BD-Live storage, although disconnecting from the network should prevent it from needing this.
Hi!
I just purchased the remote from the eBay seller. But now I have a couple of questions:
Will the remote hack work on a recently purchased and firmware updated to the latest version?
Also, will this hack void the warranty?
Thanks.
Regards,
Hi, what model of player do you have?
I have the DP-UB9000eg1 updated to the latest 1.76 firmware.
I just received the remote yesterday but haven’t used it yet.
Using the remote should work on the latest firmware for your DP-UB9000 and shouldn’t void any warranties.
Hi I’ve tried all 5 hacks but in some cases I don’t have that particular button on my remote. I’ve a model DMP-BD84. I looked into getting a hack remote but they won’t deliver to New Zealand. Any help you could give would be much appreciated thanks Jo
Hi Jo, New Zealand is the only country in the world where if you take your Panasonic player to your local official Panasonic service centre they will unlock the region coding for you free of charge. Let us know if you do this!
Australia too!
will a firmware update undo the unlocking? My player is telling me there is a firmware update ready to download but i am concerned it will undo the unlock and i do not have the unlock remote anymore
A firmware update should not remove the region unlock on Panasonic players.
Hi,
Hope you can help. I have a DP-UB420 WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO REGION UNLOCK on my Panasonic?
cheers Stew
The Panasonic DP-UB420 and the similar DP-UB320 are both in the list of Blu-ray players that can be unlocked for region-free DVD playback. So you can use the custom remote to unlock your UB420 player.
I Have A Panasonic Blu-Ray Player Model No DMP-BDT460 And I Want To Make It Region Free
The Panasonic DMP-BDT460 is on the list above, so can be unlocked for region-free DVD playback using the methods described.
Hi does this apply for the Panasonic DMRpwt655? Is there no way to do this via the remote that came with the unit?
Hi, Yes your DMR-PWT655 is in the list of players that can be unlocked with these custom remotes. You cannot use the original remote as it is not capable of sending the required signals.
Hi,
Do you post to Canada – can’t contact the seller to answer via the eBay link ?
(Have a Panasonic UB820)
If so – can you advise of shipping cost etc.
It seems that these remotes do not work on Region 1 (North American) players which is why the seller doesn’t ship them to Canada.
Does your remote hack work on Panasonic UB9000 GKK ?
I wish to unlock it from DVD region 6 to free.
Do you sell the remote hack to Hong Kong ?
You need to send an eBay message to the seller to find out about shipping to Hong Kong and compatibility with Region 6 players.
Can I unlock a DP-UB820P-K?
Yes the DP-UB820 is on the list of Blu-ray players above. You can ignore any letters after the numerals.
I can’t play a blue ray disc that says A zone only ,on my blue ray player, will the transmitter work on my Panasonic b/ray player , DMR-PWT 655 and DMR-PWT655
The custom transmitter will only unlock your DMR-PWT655 to play any region of DVD disc, not for Blu-ray disc multi-region. To unlock the Blu-ray zone of your player head over to our Blu-ray player multi-region page.
Can a Panasonic DMR-BWT735 be unlocked to play worldwide blu-rays please?
The DMR-BWT735 can be unlocked for DVD multi-region playback using the custom remote above. For Blu-ray playback unlocking see our Blu-ray zone unlocking page.
Can you make a panasonic DMR EX769EB region free?
Hi Dave, yes the DMR-EX769 is on the list of DVD players that can be made region-free using the custom remote. You can ignore any letters (EB) after the numbers in your model number.
Thanks but how do you make it region free?
You need to use one of the ready-made custom remote controls as shown in the Hardware section above. This will send the correct unlocking codes to your player.
.can’t find remote on eBay can you give any more details ie makes name and or model no
PS I’m 81 years old and computer are new to me
Of course, for a link to the remote on eBay click here. It’s a Panasonic DVD hack remote.
DVD now region free. Thanks for your help much appreicated
Dave
Can this be sent to the USA?
I tried to buy and it states it will not ship to my address
The seller doesn’t normally ship the remotes to North America because the remote will not unlock Region 1 players. If you have a player from a different region (i.e. not region 1) that you want to unlock then message the seller to arrange shipment.
Hi – can this be shipped to New Zealand? There is no option to contact to request this on Ebay. Thanks.
You can contact the seller through eBay using the ‘Contact seller’ option on the item listing.
For people in New Zealand Panasonic will make your player region free for DVD playback free of charge (DVD only). You must have your proof of purchase and your local Panasonic Service Centre can do it.
I tried to buy this the other day but alas they are not sending to nz which is a pity as I would love to do two of my dvd player which are on the list able to be used with this 😞
If you live in New Zealand then a Panasonic service centre will remove the region lock for you.
Hi
I unlocked a Zone 1 disc on a New Zealand DMP BD84 Blu-Ray player by playing the DVD then pressing pause on the DVD remote. At this point I pressed the numeral ‘1’ button on the remote (using advice seen on a similar forum) and the numeral appeared on the screen. Initially the message about incompatibility showed again but after repeating the process again the disc was unlocked.
Hi, I read most of how to and try. But it’s not working.
It’s Panasonic DMP-UB300.
I have Panasonic original remote.
Regards
You cannot use the original Panasonic remote to unlock your player. You need the custom remote described in the article.
Hi from Sydney Australia. Just got my hands on one of these and used it on my Panasonic DVD-LS84 (no remote portable player). It worked but now I have FT02 on the screen and it won’t go away. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it please?
Hi Jerome, regarding the FT02 on-screen message when making the DVD-LS84 player region-free, there is a possible solution here. They suggest pressing the cancel button on a standard Panasonic DVD remote.
I have a Panasonic UB9000 4k player. Will this remote allow region-free Blu-ray playback? Cheers.
The remote only unlocks the DVD playback. For zone-free Blu-ray playback you’ll need to fit a mod-chip.
Hi,
I own a Panasonic DMR BST 760 – can it be unlocked (you listed theDMR-BST755
and DMR-BST765, but not the760) ?
The remote should work on your DMR-BST760 because it works on the cable-TV version (DMR-BCT760) of this Blu-ray player/recorder and also the nearly identical DMR-BST765.
I contacted the eBay seller, but he doesn’t ship to my country (too many problems after Brexit).
Has anyone recently managed to make the PANASONIC DP-UB9000 region free without that remote?
Thanks for your help.
What country are you in?
Italy
There have been problems with the computer systems at Italian Customs since Christmas so many sellers are not sending to Italy currently. It is worth checking the Royal Mail International Incidents page periodically and once the Italy section has been updated to show that the problems have been fixed you can ask the seller to send to Italy again. Alternatively, if you have friends or relatives in another country nearby you could have the remote sent to them.
Just successfully upgraded my Panasonic DMR-BWT955.
Couldn’t get player to ‘DISC’ mode so inserted a ‘Wrong Region’ (Region 1) disc & upgraded while error message was displayed on screen as per instructions.
Waited for green LED to go out, switched ‘OFF’ via normal remote & disconnected from mains power for 10 seconds.
Power reconnected & now our ‘non-region 4’ discs work.
Missus happy.
Many Thanks.
Hi I have a DMR-BWT955
And I’d like to remove the region lock as I can’t watch most of my old dvds.?
Do you have any instruction I can follow to unlock the player please?
Hi Tina, your DMR-BWT955 Blu-ray player can be made region-free for DVD playback by purchasing and using the custom remote through Ebay. This will unlock the player so you can play DVDs from other regions.
Is there a US version of this? I know you’re based in the UK, but we have similar needs here on the other side of the pond. Thank you.
I have a Panasonic DMP BDT380 that has been set to region free, but player sometimes freezes when loading a dvd disc, etc and can only be restored if I unplug power cord briefly and rettach. I have considered updating the firmware, as it is several years out of date now, compared to latest release. Will updating f/w remove the region free setting, and if so, will I (if I can) get it region free again with the new f/w, by another visit to the agent who has the magic remote?
Updating the firmware won’t remove the region-free setting so you should be fine to proceed. The player locking up when reading discs could be due to a dirty lens or disc.
It worked fine on my DMR-EX97 and I can play my Region 1 DVDs again. Nice bit of tech!
O have bought a IR from UK to unlock the regions on my Panasonic DMP BDT 120…
It don’t unlock nothing
If your player was not originally region 2 or 4 for DVD playback then the remote might not work. Please contact the seller through eBay and they will be able to help you.
Hello, I have a Panasonic DMR-BCT 740 – can it be unlocked ?
The DMR-BCT740 is very similar to the DMR-BST740 which can be unlocked so it is quite probable that your DMR-BCT740 can be unlocked. Please send the Ebay seller a message through Ebay to confirm.
Hi. Do you know if this will also work for the Panasonic DMP-BD94? It is a North American model.
I don’t think that the DVD region can be unlocked for any North American (Region 1) versions of Panasonic’s players. But please contact the eBay seller through the link to double-check.
Hi guys,
So I purchased the region free remote hack and it worked straight away for my Region 1 DVDs in Australia.
As I unlocked my Panasonic 4K Blu ray player I was just wondering if somebody in Australia would like to buy the custom remote off me?
My email address is … [Editor’s note – Sorry, we do not allow personal trading through our website. Please sell/buy your remotes through Ebay]
I have a Panasonic Blu Ray Player, DMP-BD84.
How do I make it Region free, so I can play 1, 2, region dvds??
Thank you
Gavin
Hi Gavin, the Panasonic DMP-BD84 is on the list of players above that can be made region-free for DVD playback using the custom remote available through the Ebay links in the article.
If you are in New Zealand you can take your player to a Panasonic Service Centre and they will do this for you free of charge. This service is only available in NZ.
was a bit worried after i did it and bd1 came up in bottom right hand corner of screen . but after unplugging and plgging back in after 10 seconds . then put in region 1 dvd all worked fine . my player is the panasonic bd84
Is there a way to purchase in Hong Kong?
Contact the seller through their Ebay listing to arrange HK shipping.
Purchased one many years ago. Has worked on every model I have used. I have tried 11 different Recorder models all newer ones, used it on a 4k player 820 and used it on 3 models of BD player. Good investment as a lot of older TV series ( Im getting older) are only available from the US.
Hi there I have a SABTT190 how do I make it region free please
Hi Brian, the SA-BTT190 player is in the list of Blu-ray players above that can be made region-free using the custom remote.
Hi guys.
I didn’t know about the different infrared signals and so I was wondering, should I purchase a Region A Panasonic remote control would it allow my European Region B Blu Ray player to play my Region A BRs?
No, there is no difference between the standard Panasonic remotes supplied with players from different regions. You have to unlock the player. This can be done using the custom remote that sends special commands to the player that no standard Panasonic remote can.
